TGA Ghosts - co-op goodness for all

Post by Snowy » Sun May 15, 2022 2:06 pm

OK so we play a lot of Ghost Recon on here, but today we branched out. We hit Harran as a foursome of epic ninjas (aka Solitaire, Raid, Eny and Snowy) in Dying Light. It may be a bit long in the zombified tooth these days but it is an absolute riot to play co-op. Dismemberment and comedy deaths for all!

In the first pic - trying to work out if Raid is deliberately looking to set your snabblers on fire...

This was hilarious fun, for sure - never played the game until a few days ago, and now four-toon coop zombie smashing, wow. I had to mute my mic several times, I was laughing and exclaiming so much I felt like I was being annoying
If Edwin's being an Edwin does he call himself an Edwin?

Aye, don't worry Todd; I suspect my constant remarks about how much I was enjoying the game were more irritating. :P

We've decided to up the difficulty and start new characters just to give the zombie thrashing a little more meaning. The regular zombies now take a ton of beating to actually take down. I've mentioned this a couple of times over the last few days, but it's basically going to be this:

Oh Dying Light is great. Never did try the co-op though. I've still to play through The Following at some point.

I can't think of an open world game that isn't improved by co-op, and Dying Light is certainly no exception.

It did well in the reviews but I have to say I found it pretty disappointing. They trade much of the parkour for a countryside/beach/mountain setting with a buggy to hoon around in. Don't get me wrong, there was fun to be had but without the verticality the game lost a major part of it's enjoyment to me personally.

Also, hop onto Discord and you will often find a game on, the more the merrier

Yeah, I heard it was quite different but the change looks quite interesting to me, personally.

I will do. Not been around much recently for games. Been reading more, which is good.

I recently changed jobs so I have much more sociable hours for some evening gaming. Hopefully I'll be able to jump in a game with you at some point.

Have any of you got together to try Wildlands with the first person mod yet? I haven't tried it myself, but that could be fun.

I did look at it, but it looked like a right faff to install so I left it. Also apparently it was not fun when in the vehicles, where it could make you feel mighty ill :)

Ah, I too am an avid avoider of faffs.
