Sup mate, welcome to the new digs.
And you wouldn't be wrong there either!

I bought a whole new PC. A proper beastly gaming rig for the first time in many years.

It's this one here:
https://www.chillblast.com/chillblast-f ... ory_id=529
I decided to buy one outright after saving up for a while because I couldn't be doing with the stress and worry that building one myself causes these days. Really been enjoying playing some of my favourite games on full whack, with very high framerates. Each is a whole new experience, to be honest, and I am now future proof for a while! Tempted by VR, though I worry it'll make me sick!

Woah that's tasty. Well jealous mate.
Planning on getting a 1070 if prices drop when they finally announce the next tier, then getting updated mobo/ram/cpu in the new year if there's any sign of a bottleneck.

PC looks tasty, Gibby! I'm starting to get the parts buying itch... Need to wait till next gen of graphics cards though, I have a 980Ti which is similar to a 1070.
Re: I Just Bought...
Nnnnnnnngh.
I bought the mboard and cooler purely for the stupid light up eagle. It's either flexing its sweet bicep or screaming, I can't tell
Re: I Just Bought...
Nice! When does the building begin?
Re: I Just Bought...
When I've had a few drinks.
I also got this fish tank looking thing
To replace my derelict
The more broken this case got over the years the funnier I found it. It'll be missed.

Re: I Just Bought...
Looking forward to seeing that finished.
Re: I Just Bought...
Nothing beats that new pc feeling. Your prebuild looks very snazzy indeed, Gibby. I'm waiting for some serious hardware updates from Intel and Nvidia before I commit to a new build as everything nowadays is usually just a slightly better version of what was out the previous year and my 2012 build is still going very strong once I'd put a 980 Ti in it.
I always build them myself though, there's something about putting it all together and then pressing that power button for the first time to see it whirl into life that I find very satisfying.

...or not whirl into life. Followed by the feeling of dread that one of the components might be faulty.
Re: I Just Bought...
The last time I built a pc, about 6 years ago now, I hit the power switch and nothing happened. Re-seated everything, still got nothing. 20 minutes of that gut wrenching feeling later I noticed I hadn't flipped the psu switch. : (
