Were we expecting a game this week? I forget whether this was when Pete wasn't going to be available for a while.

Tentatively yes - I'm back now but there's a lot going on at the moment, so it'll depend how things are looking on Thursday.

Sorry to mess you guys around but I think I'll have to call off this week. My mum's not been doing so well with the pre-op stress and anxiety (not least due to how she's been messed about) and yesterday she was told the op could go ahead next week, only to be told a few hours later that it couldn't due to low sodium levels that they need to understand first. And just to ease her panic attacks, they told her to go straight to A&E if she experiences certain symptoms. She's in a proper state this morning with everything up in the air, so I'm doing my best to keep her calm and patient until we know more.

Christ, don't ever get ill.

Fully understood mate, don't even worry about it. Hope everything gets better with your mum.

I've lost track a bit of when people are away - are we looking to fit in a session tomorrow night?

Sorry, my brain's really not in a DMing place at the moment. Some of the treatment the NHS advised my Mum to try last week ended up making her so ill that her doctors have now admitted she should have been hospitalised as a result and was potentially life threatening (after this is all over with, I'm determined to look into legal action because the level of negligence and incompetence has been astounding). The whole thing has been a farce so far and there's a lot still up in the air, particularly the low sodium thing which they're trying to understand without making things worse again. I've been running on little sleep and floods of adrenaline for the last month now, which has left me somewhat heightened. I need a good slap.

Sorry, thought I'd already replied!

Just to say, sorry to hear all that mate. Just take all the time you need, family comes first.

Hope everything works out alright mate.

No pressure to resume any time soon either as this residential course I'm on is exhausting. We don't finish until quite late each day and then we're pretty much straight into a set meal time at 7pm every night which can be dragged out until gone 8 with how slow they serve the tables. So realistically I won't be around until the 17th of July for any further sessions.

Reckon we could dip our toes back in this week? I'm in France 29th July, the week after will be a maybe and I'm pretty free on Thursdays again after that. Work is calming down again finally, and I'm missing Farley and the gang

Come to think of it, I'm not tied to Thursdays if they're tricky.

So, the next month is going to be messy unfortunately:

- I'll be travelling this Thursday
- My mum's op is finally booked in (fingers crossed it doesn't change) for Friday 28th, so I'm probably going to be busy the night before
- 3rd Aug is when Bird is away if I've read that right? Also the BG3 release day. ;)
- I'll be away the weeks of the 10th and 17th Aug

After that, hopefully normality will be restored! Really sorry for messing everyone around - it's just been a rough couple of months with everything going on. Things are already looking better now that the NHS has stopped actively trying to kill my mum.

Looking forward to getting back into the DM seat, which looks like it's going to be Aug 24th.

You really don't need to apologise! It sounds like it's been a pretty scary time for all involved.

BG3 will sustain us.

I'm still annoyed BG3 is now coming out literally the day before I go away for a week

Good chance you guys are already watching it, but just in case not... I've been really enjoying Oxventure's new Deadlands campaign. I didn't really get into Blades in the Dark that much, but this is far better imho, plus Andy Farrant makes an exceptional DM (sorry, Marshall). Johnny Chiodini needs to be a part of every TTRPG campaign, by the way, he is always amazing.
