Very well. While we are touring the rural backwaters of the Miskatonic Valley, let us travel to the place known as the "blasted heath" in...

THE COLOUR OUT OF SPACE

Speaking of which, where did Doug get to?

Can someone check his man-den in case he's cracked his head on one of those beams

RIP HPL thread

Also, for those of us into such things, I just spotted this on Steam - basically a Lovecraft-themed narrative adventure - and it's FREE

Currently sitting at Overwhelmingly Positive, so think it could be a bit good. Downloading now.

I had this kind of clever plan, back in former years, to guide us through his works based on common themes with connective links between them, but I think the new method will just be "think of random tale we haven't read yet and throw it up when we're ready for the next one".

I'll tell you what the best H.P. Lovecraft video game ever is.

This one:

There's nothing else like it. A class of its own.

It's a cross between a classic point-and-click adventure and a poor student survival RPG. It took me several attempts, but I finally figured out how to succeed at it. I believe I got the best possible ending too. I don't think I can ever play it again, as I would never be able to top the experience that it gave me two years ago, but I can highly recommend it.

Just to reassure, I am currently working my way through Re-animator. I am just rather stupidly busy at the moment and getting little time to read. But I am working through it!
