Funny, but I would love to see more duelling to settle points of honour amonst politicians.

First up, Arnie vs Ol' Bone Spurs
The head of a near-as-dammit personal army of the Russian presidency cutting a promo on an opposition leader. Brilliant.

Should we have a science thread for something like this? I know it be maybe less posted in but this give me a warm chuckle about Star Trek and Vulcans :)

There's an article on BBC News which conveniently I can't locate about an Alexa controlled microwave.

I would like to turn to it and say "Alexa, nuke the Chinese" but I have a feeling it would actually nuke the Chinese.

Public reminder that it's grim up north.

This article, linked below that one, is both less depressing and more interesting:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/video_and_au ... n-virginia
Between tedium and fright
Such is the song of the nether world
The hissing of rats
And the jarring chants of angels

Following on from Sly Boots' seemingly proximity to where I'm from, this happens to take place a little closer to the mark the next day.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-45705896
osting on Facebook, Ms Botten said: "This shouldn't be happening to anyone, putting aside bad health, lonely and elderly, disabled, pregnant.

"It should not be happening. It's called home delivery.

"I just had to carry £200 monthly shop up two flights of stairs alone, pregnant with pelvic problems. No choice but to leave my son on his own crying."

In the video clip, she asks the driver: "Can you not help me with this last little bit because my little boy is up there crying his eyes out?"

He responds: "I'd rather not."
That's a little too articulate a response for me to believe yer man works at the Asda in Feltham, but never mind.

Ah, Feltham. Spent many an evening in Cineworld, though not for a good number of years now. My dad still lives up the road relatively speaking.

Wait, Asda's response was to give the lady in question a bottle of champagne? They gave a pregnant lady a bottle of alcohol?

All of my mates have worked at Cineworld at one point or another. I was refused an interview...
