Re: Nvidia RTX 2080 and co. announced
Nvidia announced the 2060 last night and it sounds pretty good. Headlines are that it outperforms the 1070ti and comes close to performance levels of the 1080. Here is Eurogamer's review.
https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digi ... 060-review
Current price is £330 for the Founders Edition from Nvidia. Other manufacturers will have their own versions out close to the 15th February launch date and I expect a £300 version to be the standard not long after launch.

Nice to see GFX cards come back down to reasonable levels.

A grand.
And a half.
You could just about get my entire rig for one of those. Including monitor and peripherals.

I picked one of the higher end Ti cards, but they go from between £1,200 up to about £1,700. Considering that I paid about £500 for an older range Ti card about four years ago that is one hell of an inflation rate!

Who the fuck needs 11GB of video RAM? Also, why not 10, or 12? 11 seems weird…

It might unlock it, but without the dedicated rt cores I'd expect games to be reduced to a slideshow seeing the performance hit that even rtx cards seem to suffer.
Can't see me ever enabling them on my 1070, even though it's o/c. Maybe 1080/1080ti owners will fare better.

Blistering.
I'm not even going to try tbh I reckon it'll be the death of my PC.

30s are due pretty soon so not that surprising. I kind of thought they already were.

Re: The All Things nVidia Thread
Nvidia are teasing something for the 31st, which surely has to be the launch of the new product line.

This is of interest to me; I've been waiting for the next cards to arrive before looking at upgrading my GPU to match the CPU upgrade I did earlier in the year.
