Playing some Division 1...
Noticeably one of the best £3 I ever did spend on a game.

I always ran with the scanner and the healing pod thing on my playthroughs, literal lifesavers when going alone. I also used to have a shotgun handy to blast enemies that got too close.Lenny Solidus wrote: ↑Sat Nov 04, 2023 1:34 amPlaying some Division 1...

Well if we are dealing with Dave's gaming vids, this one from yesterday was great fun. GTA Online private session with Dave, myself and Chris:

I have V installed and took a dally the other day: last save 2015! I couldn't remember any of the controls or owt...likewise I looked in on RDR2 and the first thing I did was punch my horse...

Apologies for the random stutter fest during that video btw. I had enabled the extended distance scaling to its max levels during a little solo play test to see how it would run and completely forgot to disable it before hitting record - so as more and more AI jumped on us +recording at a guess, the game just kind of shat itself here and there.

It was fine Dave, only really hit for a minute or so and didn't spoil my enjoyment

A very quick edit - I have 17GB worth of footage thanks to today's session and actually wanted to eat at some point tonight.
More to come.

Re: The Random Gaming Videos Thread
The game's an absolute hoot when it works; the physics, vehicle handling and AI (not particularly good AI, but it contributes to the chaos) make it such an entertaining game. It's just a shame that it's so broken in the front-end; multiple-minute load times and disconnects whenever you go into one of those loading screens (which happen with every multiplayer mission) meant that I almost decided to call it a day before all of the above happened.
Re: The Random Gaming Videos Thread
Had a good time with it when the PC version came out, I can't believe it's still got such poor performance given how much money it consistently makes them, though I guess there's not much incentive to fix it if people are buying shark cards regardless.
The heist missions that they added are good fun if you can get a full group for it. The biggest bane it had was that we sometimes had to rely on a stranger to fill out our group and the majority of the community for that game is unsurprisingly toxic as hell.

Re: The Random Gaming Videos Thread
Yeah, I wouldn't have come back to it if we were still forced to play on public servers, as the multiplayer has been completely unplayable thanks to hackers and arseholes for almost the entire time it's been available. I remember it being exactly the same when I played with another group of people the better part of ten years ago. Unfortunately it's the private lobbies that are the worst for the disconnecting apparently, and I guess there's just no incentive to fix those when there's almost certainly no money in it.
It's funny how Red Dead Online never really attracted the same crowd. There's the odd hacker, sure, but nowhere near as prevalent.

Re: The Random Gaming Videos Thread
Not the best quality visually (had to amend some screen too dark issues) but it should be more than watchable. Once again, my mic is either ridiculously low or pretty much none existent only hearable now and again, is it that way when we play? I will have to work on it, as it makes it seem I'm not part of the proceedings and this Dave person is a combined figment of your imaginations.
Do enjoy.

Unfortunately, I could not use any of the footage recorded during the actual event. Why you ask? Well because you chaps were causing so much destruction it crippled the recording process and it was pretty much entirely unusable.
