I'm 20 pages from the end of Metro 2035 and there hasn't been a single friggin' steam train so far. I think I needn't have worried about spoilers from the game...

Turns out Exodus is sort of not the same timeline as the books, and/or is set after what would be the events of 2035 anyway, so anyone wanting to read/play one without spoilers should be fine. Looks as if 2035 contains spoilables from Last Light, if anything, but I haven't played that yet.

Tried reading 2033 a while back but found it so arse numbingly dull I gave up pretty quick. I think something was lost in translation.

Really? I loved it - but any translated work lives or dies on how it's handled. Do you know which version/printing you read?

Oh. That's the exact same one I have...

The game isn't being well received by players from quite a lot of bugs and glitches on metacritic, last I saw it was hovering just above 50. And it's not from people review bombing the game on metacritc from not being on steam giving it 0-4 scores but from actual bugs/performance from owners.
