I don't think I ever have done that myself thankfully

I'm the type to not bother saving at all and playing from the first part of the level till completion. Only Quake 1.5 mod broke me when I was streaming it and had to quicksave to get past some truly horrible bits

I know of at least one story told to me (by separate people, not just one sod who didn't learn his lesson first time), of a bloke in the absolute moment of Fate/Destiny/Love/Fortune/whatever in this particular story of romance, with such a great build-up, that was abruptly postponed by the cold intrusion of the lady's dog's nose where that dog got his.

I mean, once was hilarious. Twice, has me worried about this sort of thing.
