Re: Fallout 76
Doom is still the largely the guys from id so I'm not too worried about that. Everything else though, could be fucked.
I also do not understand how anyone is still playing Fallout 76. It seems like a complete and utter pile of shit of a game with nothing redeeming at all. The mind boggles sometimes.

I don't think it's safe to separate developer and publisher in these sorts of conversations. iD and Bethesda are both owned by Zenimax, and are therefore at the beck and call of their corporate masters, just as with DICE and EA. Even studios with apparent creative control are succumbing to this sort of nickel and diming; look at Blizzard and Activision.
Re: Fallout 76
Any game could be improved with friends to some extent. It's my only thinking why people would still be in it, Seeing you could mod Fallout 4 to do it all barring MP aspect.

Re: Fallout 76
Why? It's been proved time and time again from people saying game is okay then saying better with friends. Unless you got terrible friends that is

Re: Fallout 76
I have plenty of good friends, but I play games in my own way, in my own time for my own reasons, and none of those reasons involve other people. I’m a stringent single player gamer.
Regardless of that, though, there are many games where having other players would detract from the experience.

Re: Fallout 76
In my opinion, if a game is only any fun with friends then that's a sign that other aspects of the game don't hold up to standards. It's not always true either that they are improved with friends, I co-oped the first Borderlands from start to finish and was bored for almost every minute of it.
Re: Fallout 76
I was bored in the latest expansion of wow and it was the friends there that kept me going a lot longer than I would have before leaving with many months left of subscription left I might add. I can see that same mentality towards a heck of a lot of games that are mp focused. Talking shit, having laughs can and does extend mp games. So I can see why people could be still playing Fallout 76 with friends but not as solo though. That's just punishment to the soul.
Borderlands okay you got me there as it was rather poor in co-op and improved in the sequel a bit better but for me friends again kept me interested in sticking with till end game before we moved onto a different mp game.

I think there might be something wrong with me. I played the 3 borderlands games solo and had a great time.

I couldn't get past the starting to the prequel for Borderlands.

Re: Fallout 76
Neither could I initially, but with the hubbub around BL3 recently I decided to fire it back up and pick up where I'd left off. It was alright. It certainly has some interesting areas if you can get over the floaty jumping which for the most part I did.
Borderlands is like Mass effect for me, each game is less than the one that came before.

Re: Fallout 76
There have only been two Borderlands games, I don't know what any of you are talking about with this prequel nonsense.
