The screenshots look rather messy. I have the current version set to display in the most basic format possible with just a list of all my games set alphabetised category. I really don't want any more guff than that on my library page.

Metro for Steam. I believe its no longer in active development but there has been unofficial patches to keep it smart and tidy with any UI updates. Fingers crossed someone can be arsed this time around.

I might have a look again and what's doing the rounds as it seems that all the older skins I've used in the past are no longer being developed.

So much press over a few people complaining on Twitter. There have also been developers saying they haven't noticed any change in their wish-list numbers.

Is that "what's new" pane pulling the recently released titles from your library or is it basically just a segment of the store for stuff you don't own that's been crammed into the top of the library page?

The customisation for categories looks like it might be a bit neater but I'm not keen on having so much screen space taken up by the huge artwork icons.

Considering beforehand it was just a wall of fairly useless text I think it's being put to better use here. Being able to have games I've played recently right there instead of using the shortcut off the Steam icon in the taskbar is really useful. The What's New appears to just be pulling in news about games I own.
