I'm not sure that a lot of people actually have a choice. Khan made a huge blunder in reducing the number of trains, he should have put more services on in order to spread out the passengers.
Trains are reduced because they don't have enough staff to put more on, or so I read.
Also,
all of those people can't possibly be key workers doing essential jobs.

And that's the story of why I'm not allowed near pregnant women for the next few weeks.

They are not - some people just keep on taking the piss
I wonder how the government will re-open the economy - will they start with certain sectors only ? I imagine most leaders are deciding by the day.

Are they taking the piss or have they been told by their employers that they won't have their stay at home pay covered until the Government hands the cash over to the companies? Wetherspoons is refusing to pay the 80% wages to their staff who've been sent home until the Government coughs up and the payments aren't due to start making their way to businesses until April. People still need to work to eat.
And still zero support for any self employed people who's only option currently is £94 a week SSP.

I can understand the delay for self-employed. That's an absolute nightmare trying to even come up with a system that might work.
Apparently there's some announcements coming during the week. I'm interested to hear how they're going to go about it.

Every time some pillock on an MS Teams meeting decides they have to stream video to show off their home office setup, someone, somewhere gets buffering Netflix.

And they can - in another job, as Tim Martin pointed out.

Yep he told them to go work for tesco.
If I were tesco I'd take as many people on permanently as possible and sink the wanker.
Edit: Wetherspoons only microwaves it's food anyway.

The last time I heard "you can go if you like, but if you stick around it'll be worth it", the JobCentre paid my 'employer' for having taken on X jobless for 60 days and a day later I was sacked, and never saw the £500 in backpay again.

I am desperately hoping that I go in to work tomorrow to be told to go back home again.
You and me both brother.
In other Covid news I would appear to have lost my sense of smell. I haven't seen that mentioned as a symptom/side-effect anywhere. Anyone know any better?
The more I think back to my illness last week the more I'm convinced it was indeed the dreaded Covid.
Uh oh

Yeah, hope you're ok MM
You're the forums guinea pig but just remember guinea pigs are just as cute as hell so its not all bad.
My work surprised me a lot today with their new measures to keep us as safe as possible. Bringing in some extra guys so that now any of us that go travel the country aren't allowed in the depot. The sorting of our jobs is done for us and bought out to us so basically I can easily have zero human contact in and around. Massive step up from the last few weeks where they didnt seem to have a clue. It also means the only part of the job I dont like, the warehouse sorting, has now become 30-60mins reading a book. Now its just the question of workload and how much that will drop off.

Well, there will be no way of knowing if Andrew catches it, as without the ability to sweat will he be able to know he has a fever?
