Chatting with a mate who pointed me at this bunch of oddballs. Nothing like I usually listen to but kinda liked it anyway:

A young artist I've found recently on IG has a fantastic track, she plays everything herself:

Everything on the internet is 100% true.

Can I embed BandCamp tracks here?*

I could do with more slow-ish chillout tracks if anyone wants to recommend anything.

*(apparently you can)

I've been making some Spotify playlists during lockdown. One of my musical loves is all things hip hop. The good stuff don't worry. I'm going to pop them here, hopefully you find something you like :D

Any Steven Wilson fans on here?

He's running a competition where he picks his three favourite remixes of his latest single, Personal Shopper.

I submitted a slower, moody, Nine Inch Nails-esque kind of dark synth pop version. Thought I'd share in case any of you dug it.

I'll have a listen in a bit Mantis, I wasn't sure on Personal Shopper but SW stuff sometimes needs a bit of adjustment when listening to.

Another new Haken single from their upcoming album.

Only discovered this band about a year or two ago but I think they're absolutely top notch. Saw them support Devin Townsend in December and they were absolute fire live, really heavy and melodic.

By far one of the best progressive metal bands around that doesn't over indulge in instrumental jerking off.

Me again.

I've had an on and off taste for Soilwork over quite a few years. Some of their stuff is excellent but then it gets a bit samey and I stop listening to them for years at a time.

I just heard their latest album from last year and it is really fierce. Great riffs and melodies.

Wanna give a spotlight to a band called Public Service Broadcasting. Post Rock band who mix up historical subjects and samples. Great band to listen to.

Agreed, the Race for Space album is a particular favourite of mine.
