Removing the headphone jack from most modern phones was a crime against humanity.

Its all part of ADD-enabling marketing....distract you from what you intended to do in the first place, by making that choice an infuriation of click this, sort that, ignore this...and in it's place put an unending list of shit that paid money for priority placement, which most people (want to)ignore out of increasing rage. Videos you never asked for, playing in a box as you scroll out of their way, "autoplay" "sponsored" "recommended" "clickbait" "what we want you to see so we can make the most money out of"....
Anything that makes the customer-experience streamlined towards what they actually want, means that multiple marketing opportunities have not been taken most advantage of. Take the customer as far as you dare before they die in frustration and anger.

It also makes strong use of the burden of choice by throwing a tonne of unrelated crap together for you to choose from, so that subconsciously you always assume there must be something good amongst all the rubbish. It keeps you coming back at the expense of satisfaction. If an ice cream shop has vanilla, chocolate and strawberry to choose from, you’re quickly going to choose a favourite and be satisfied with it. If there are 1000 flavours, it doesn’t matter how good the one you choose is because you’ll always assume there’s a better one you haven’t found yet, so you keep coming back to try more.

ok but this is My List - I have already ticked these shows I will watch in the future and than when I come to it the list is just a thrown together with no rhyme or reason
At least with Prime you can sort by movie / tv show and by various drop down lists
Netflix is just an atrocious site for curation.

It's no different to supermarkets moving the most commonly bought items around, forcing you to look at everything that's on display until you find them. The more things you look at, the more likely you are to just decide to pick one up.

Carrying on the Amazon trip, is it just me getting order confirmation emails, and despatch too for that matter, that have zero mention of the fucking thing you ordered, just costs? Who the fuck decided that was a good idea? They keep messing with unbroken stuff and make it worse, instead of dealing with the actual shit to make it better.

I don't remember the last time I even opened an Amazon order confirmation. Because I've been using Amazon for so long, all of their e-mails go to my old hotmail account which I only use for spam stuff these days. I've only ever used the order history page to keep track of stuff I bought there, because it's all there sorted by year. First item I ever bought was Mechassault for the XBox, incidentally.

I thought it was my browser not loading shit properly. I've had books coming from four separate vendors and I haven't had a fucking clue which confirmation email referred to which unless I went into my account.eny wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 2:50 pmCarrying on the Amazon trip, is it just me getting order confirmation emails, and despatch too for that matter, that have zero mention of the fucking thing you ordered, just costs? Cant even contact them to ask whats going on either....#cosrona
Chat is the only thing "available", meaning a bot for you to tell it doesn't know what you are on about....then "speak to an (onexistant) associate" through chat.......................
Hideous. Bezos has cashed in this past 3 months, and Amazon is worse than ever.

Utter nonsense
missing item information but keeping the customer order number as a click-able link?
I've never heard anything so stupid

That is for you and us to keep track of any orders you've made

how is an item description any security risk?
What a joke? every other company on earth tells you what you've just bought in an order confirmation, but Amazon cant #cossecurity?
pathetic

It's updated dozens of times a day code wise which is incredible really considering the service very rarely, if ever goes down. They're the only webstore that didn't take a hit due to increased demand that I'm aware off. Impressive really.let me check for you

I still get a full item description in my confirmation emails when I order something. It isn't on the despatch notice email, but the price is so it's pretty easy to recall what I ordered when I know how much I've paid for it.
