Trump: Impeach is the new Orange
Re: Trump
I'm not so sure about that Achtung. I think the world is aware of the risk China poses, and that continuing to empower it by feeding its manufacturing industry is enormously risky.Achtung Englander wrote: ↑Sun Nov 01, 2020 7:30 pmThe 21st century is Chinese anyway. Whether he gets elected or not, it makes no difference. America had its moment in the light. Prepare for a command economy future.
Just prepare yourself for a Trump win when you wake up on Wednesday.
With Covid flapping the economies throughout the world and retail shopping about to go down the shitter, there could be a real opportunity to bring manufacturing back to the primary continents, creating superblocks: the US, Europe, China and Russia in particular, each trying to localise their economies internally through sustainable models, and possible separation or geographic divisions gradually introduced to the internet even, much as we may fear it.
Merkel already wanted the big companies to keep EU resident data in the EU, and that's the start of a whole monstrous and fragmentatious debate. Splitting up Amazon and the other giants by geographic zones rather than by industry could be another.
I'm no economist, but logic and the need for recovery and jobs after all this is done does suggest to me a weakening of the chinese hold over exports, whatever that may then mean...

Re: Trump
But hey, Trump's already said he'll fight the result in court because of massive vote fraud. I assume he'll do that if he wins too, he couldn't possibly rule if millions of votes were cast in his name fraudulently, could he?

Re: Trump
He's declared victory and also called the vote rigged... What?
I think Boden is slightly ahead on votes but then again Clinton got 3 million more votes and still lost last time.

Re: Trump
He said the same last time that the vote was rigged and that 4 million people voted illegally. Which just happened to explain Hillary’s vote advantage.

Re: Trump
Apparently due to the way postal votes are counted, the remaining votes in the northern states should favour Biden, so there's still a tiny glimmer of hope that the tangerine turd* will lose.

Re: Trump
Biden now leading in Wisconsin, which is quite big.
If they and Nevada go to him, as is currently the way its set, then I make it he needs 16 more EC votes. Georgia or Michigan would do it, looks close in both at the moment.
