Re: The Covid-19 Thread
Just chatting to a friend earlier who got his 2nd jab last week, he was in a heap for about 4 days afterwards. The 2nd seems to hit people the hardest.

Re: The Covid-19 Thread
Well, as a counterpoint after my second I had a bad headache that had cleared up by that evening, arm was sore for a few days and that was all.

Re: The Covid-19 Thread
All done, was way easier than last time due to there being no queue at all!
Re: The Covid-19 Thread
I had to wait outside for about 40 minutes when I had my second, but I didn't have any side effects - the sore arm only lasted for about an hour after and then I didn't notice it again.
Re: The Covid-19 Thread
My arm’s ruckused again, which I expected, but this time I also feel like I’m burning up a bit. The irony is that my body temp has dropped almost a full degree since this morning, which is bizarre. Otherwise not terrible.

Re: The Covid-19 Thread
Heading in shortly to get my second jab. Couple of friends had pretty bad reactions but as long as I make it home before anything kicks in I don't care.
And I'm done. No badge or lollipop given out which was mildly disappointing..

Today I feel like hammered shit
Re: The Covid-19 Thread
That means it is working, your body is building antibodies. I haven't had any reaction to either of my jabs, bar a temporary throat irritation on the night of the second - probs because of my rheumatoid arthritis drugs....which bothers me as to my risk of getting covid.

I know what you mean. I was on Adalimumab injections for my arthritis from December through to February. It's an incredible drug, but I made the decision to get off the drug before getting my covid jab due to concerns about my immune system.eny wrote: ↑Tue Jul 06, 2021 2:05 pmThat means it is working, your body is building antibodies. I had pretty strong side effects from both jabs, but then some people just don't get big side effects, and they've done tests to prove people have just as many antibodies despite not having reactions after getting jabbed, so you could be protected just fine.

Soluble paracetamol really does the trick I've just discovered, I feel so much better now
Re: The Covid-19 Thread
Presumably like half the forum, I've been afflicted with that bleedin' corona over the last week.
Almost certainly caught at the semi final of the Euros. Took a test Monday, positive. Second test, positive. Planned to book a PCR the following morning.
Woke up, all smell and taste gone. Didn't even bother with the PCR, I know what I know.
Following two days were grim. Since then, it's just been shortness of breath, some dizziness and the sweats. Not expecting taste or smell back any time soon.#
Forunately I'm double-jabbed so like the tens of thousands who've also caught it in this position, I am fine and hopefully they will be.

Bugger. Yup being double jabbed meant you got less symptons. It's scary to think how we would have coped beforehand.
Hope you feel better soon
(And no, I haven't had it - well, I don't think so anyway)

Re: The Covid-19 Thread
I took a test earlier having woken up with a fucked-up voice, cough, and feeling like shit.
Negative, just a shitty cough/cold, phew!

Re: The Covid-19 Thread
You should probably order a PCR test just in case.
