So... rounded edges.

Such innovate. Many improve.

I've just discovered my i5-4570 isn't compatible with W11, not just my lack of TPM. So I'm locked in to getting a new CPU/mobo before 2025 (when W10 support ends). I probably would have done that anyway, my CPU is 8 years old.

I've said it before, but the 4570 was/is one of the greatest CPUs, in terms of performance vs price & longevity. It still handles modern games, albeit I never bothered with Cyberpunk so that might have finally been the game that needed an upgrade.

I've simply never needed another CPU and it only cost me around Β£130 in 2013.

Urgh, I hate so many of those UI changes. It's going to take years to find half of the settings. All I want from a new version of Explorer is customisable right-click menus so I can hide all of the shite I never use, but now I have to click through multiple hidden menus to get at certain things?

And was that no more vertical taskbar? I have an ultrawide, I have a vertical taskbar so that it doesn't take up too much of the height of the screen as I've far more space in the width. Am I now going to have to make it autohide? I detest mouse-hover-over UI elements.

I'm not sure that his argument that it's a bunch of superficial changes which come together to make something substantial really flies. A bunch of superficial changes come together to make something hugely superficial if you ask me.

It's literally just to primarily make touch devices like tablets more enticing as a Windows user. Plus horrible rounded edges.

Stardock are salivating at the UI mods they can sell again.

Anybody taking the plunge today? I'm giving it until the weekend in case any nightmare scenarios emerge and make headlines.

I'm giving it three or four months, all too often early-adopter = beta-tester.

I think I upgraded to Windows 10 almost immediately from 8, but this? Nah, they haven't said anything to convince me I want it at all, nevermind early adopting.
