I'm not even convinced of that anymore. We know enough about the various covid-19 vaccines and their medium to long term effects to have strong confidence in both their efficacy and their safety (outside of an extreme minority of negative reactions to one of the vaccines). Without a valid medical reason for exemption, there is no good argument for not making vaccination mandatory, and that's from someone who is highly liberal. This is a global crisis - refusal damages both global health and the global economy, so "I don't believe in vaccines" doesn't cut it anymore, nor does anything along the lines of 'moral' objections to vaccination, whatever the fuck that means. Religious objections can get in the bin too. We don't respect ISIS's religious belief that they can terrorise a populace under extremist interpretations of religious laws, so why should we respect a religious belief on vaccines that endangers people?
Respect has limits. Djokovic's stance is not worthy of respect.
I was being sarcastic there but I don't think it came across I couldn't care less about people's personal opinions or "rights" when it comes to this, get the vaccine or get to fuck.
Was told to stop tensing my arm while I explained twice I'm non too fond of needles, like just fucking stick me already so I can return home and begin my suffering.
Building the future, and keeping the past alive - are one and the same thing.
So his stance on vaccination, wrong though it is, is one thing. But to actively meet people in person while knowing he has Covid is criminal at this point.
On another note I'm rewatching Red Dwarf for the first time since Covid and I've got Quarantine on, feels weird watching this episode in the context of the last couple of years.
Edit: actually going back to Djokovic, I think that warrants two hours of W.O.O.

It's fine, I'm sure he informed each and every one of them that he had covid and reassured them that all they need to do is think happy thoughts and the nasty virus will go away.
So, can Australia deport him to the middle of the ocean...?
Over 5 million people have died from this virus now. How much lower would that figure have been if it weren't for utter fuckheads like Djokovic going around spreading it when they know they have it I wonder.
