The solo stuff looks like it would have been a brilliantly fun gig.

Our habits are so fine tuned it never goes off because we've already drunk it before it gets the chance.Raid wrote: ↑Sun Jan 09, 2022 6:07 pmhttps://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-59928650
Do people really just throw out perfectly good milk without smelling to see if it's turned?
Definitely, I work with a lady who will not make a cup of tea out of anything even a day past the date on the carton, whereas I will give it a sniff and happily use it without even looking at the date providing it smells OK. Suggesting she do likewise made her physically nauseous. With very few exceptions I only ever use the dates on the packaging as a rough guide.Raid wrote: ↑Sun Jan 09, 2022 6:07 pmhttps://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-59928650

It brings me absolutely no pleasure to say I've got one that goes the extra step. At my old work, came in one morning to discover someone had left the milk out all night. And, quite possibly, on a radiator so bad had it gone. So bad, that you knew the instant you picked up the carton that something was wrong. The weight, the movement of the contents, was all off and raising mental alarm bells.Wrathbone wrote: ↑Mon Jan 10, 2022 7:53 amI've encountered the other side of this problem. Back in the days of being in the office, I was first in one Monday morning and gave the milk from the previous week a sniff test and recoiled. It wasn't marginal - I'm surprised there weren't chunks. Just as I was about to pour it down the sink, my boss appeared behind me and asked to give it a try. I warned him, but he went in for a sniff and decided it was fine and proceeded to make a cup of tea with it.
There was fresh milk in the fridge. Even if there hadn't been, there is no way I would have been able to drink that without immediate consequences.
