I'm similar on the Rings of Power, at this stage I've just no interest in it at all. That might change if reviews are stellar, although I'm not particularly hopeful of that.

I loved Jackson's LOTR, felt very meh about the Hobbit to the point I've never even bothered watching the final film of that trilogy, and the source material this series is based on was deathly dull imho.

So we'll see.
The problem with the hobbit trilogy of films is that they tried to stretch a book that was small compared to even one book of the original series and make it into 3 by adding huge amounts of, at best, mediocre filler that often made no sense.
Leaving it feeling, to paraphrase Bilbo, "like butter that's been spread over too much bread." A single film might have worked, but they just had to go on milking that cash cow.

I recently downloaded a fan edit of the 3 films. Made it into 1 (ok, slightly long) film by cutting out all the crap filler bits.

If you fancy it you'll need to google it :)

Book of Boba Fett was a bit of a flop, this looks so much more enticing.
Spoiler
So I think that's meant to be the Grand Inquisitor from Star Wars: Rebels - it's another somewhat rough redesign from the animated series, but here's hoping he comes with the same level of menace (he was voiced by Jason Isaacs). Obi Wan versus the Inquisitorius is a pretty enticing prospect. I think that office scene may even be set in the underwater base from the end of Jedi: Fallen Order.

Yeah, that has me quite excited. Honestly, a large part of why I'm looking forward to it is seeing Ewan McGregor back as Obi-Wan. Say what you will about the prequel trilogy, but his enthusiasm for playing the character never seems to have waned and by all accounts he was 100% behind creating the series, which to me is hard not to admire. Considering how good his performance was in the prequels when working with terrible dialogue and dubious direction, I've got my fingers crossed for something a bit special with this.

Yeah, McGregor was one of the best things about the prequels. I just love the story that he was constantly annoying Liam Neeson because he kept making lightsaber noises while shooting the fight scenes. He always looked to be enjoying himself.

This is exactly what is needed right now, someone from the prequels era who has true passion for their character. McGregor has wanted this to become a reality every bit as much as we all have.
"I had the cameras behind me looking down this street, and behind the cameras were 100 people standing there," recalls McGregor. "They're usually in places doing work, not just standing. I couldn't quite work out what was happening."

It wasn't Obi-Wan they were there to see. "And then Vader comes around the corner, into the street, and I was like, 'Ah, f---. Of course!'"

Is Joel Edgerton playing uncle Bob or Ben again? That's definitely him in the trailer.

Owen, and yes. Disney has a hell of a lot of clout (read: money) to bring even relatively minor characters back with the same actors. I'm not expecting Owen Lars to have much of a role in this.

Really? I'd have expected him to play a significant part, showing why Owen mistrusts Obi-Wan so much and flat out lies to Luke about his father.

Excellent, I'm massively looking forward to that. Do we get it on Netflix the same it airs in the states?

It's only going to be six episodes long, I'm really hoping they're not going to spend significant amounts of screen time on Tatooine (as frankly I'm fed up with the place). In fact I'm expecting the story to be based around Obi Wan drawing them *away* from the Lars family homestead to prevent the Inquisitors from discovering Luke. Have a couple of scenes with Kenobi and Lars arguing, sure, but get that out of the way quickly.

39 days from today apparently.

Not sure if it's a prequel to the film but Colin Farrell is playing the role. He's great in the film, looks like a fat De Niro.

The Boys season 3 has a full trailer, but it's absolutely packed with stuff that's probably spoilery.

Hopefully by the time June rolls around I'll have forgotten most of that...

Michael Mann is involved so could be good.
