That looks great. By the same people who did Wolfenstein so the Nazi killing should be on point at least.

Visuals are nice, everything else looks a wee bit shit though. A fantasy The Outer Worlds.

Yeah, I went in wanting to like it but didn't really see much to enthuse about in the trailer (visuals aside). After The Outer Worlds, I don't think Obsidian games are an auto-buy any more. It was... fine, but ultimately pretty shallow and unrewarding.

It just looks so wooden, no different to every other Obsidian game, and Bethesda RPG for that matter. What is it with these first-person RPGs and weirdly disconnected animation?

Weird that they haven’t shown any of the actual RPG mechanics of it. It took me a while to warm to the Outer Worlds, but I did eventually, and so I’m hopeful that this will be decent. I’m not expecting a masterpiece, just a good solid RPG.

When the say ARPG - are they not meaning a first person Diablo alike? That video left me cold. Hexen did it better.

That looks...bad. Gameplay wise it looks like a console game a studio would have been excited to release maybe 20 years ago.

I watched it again and I'm baffled that this was what they decided was worth representing the game. Microsoft have had more than a few stinkers recently and I doubt this will help matters much.

I'll second that. I've played it twice now and it's such a rich experience.

Dead Island 2 is now on Game Pass, wasn't expecting that so soon.
