Giant briefly wonders how he knows what urine tastes like, before deciding that he will stop asking himself questions he'd rather not learn the answers to.
Growing up as a hatchling in Lord Margar's care, who knows what strange substances you've been forced to consume!

Can I attempt to climb up?
Yes, you may scout ahead and emerge out of the end of the passage.

We'll write about what you see once everyone's stated their thoughts/activities in this tunnel.

As accustomed as I am to no acknowledgement of my musical expressions, I cease my incantations, and douse my tiny torch to allow the whispering smoke to temper the experience that my nostrils are receiving from this noxious foul tunnel we find ourselves in...the darkness brings a full shiver at the awareness of the opportunity afforded to whomsoever has been waiting for their chance....

I’ll head to end of the tunnel under the hole, ready to head up should there be trouble.

Giant is going to poke an inquisitive finger through one of the tiny holes in the ceiling.

Giant Dances the Sea, poking a long pale finger through one of the ceiling holes, suddenly hears a change in pitch of the tittering from above!

Before we continue, let me just make everyone aware of this little fact:

Prügl, you might have noticed, began strumming a little melody on his Lute of the Acute Brute as you entered the chapel sanctuary. Because you all heard this (because you were in earshot), everyone's Strength and Presence abilities have switched places...for THREE DAYS...such is the power of this magical, musical weapon. For some people, like Fechr and Grin, this makes absolutely no difference. For some of you, particularly Malaiz, it means your minds have become considerably duller (this also affects spellcasting for Malaiz), but your general strength and melee combat proficiency have been enhanced! For poor Lord Margar, who previously was incredibly strong (Strength +3) and therefore great at melee fighting, is now considerably weaker (Strength -1), yet his mind has been sharpened up to Presence +3, so he's even smarter than his supposedly intelligent horse! This also means he's suddenly become a great shot with ranged weapons, noticing details (like traps), and generally charming people. If you're happy about this change...thank Prügl. If you're not...thank Prügl! Either way, changed you have been. I have modified your online character sheets to reflect this.

As such, GDTS's Presence stat is now 0 instead of +1. Therefore, his roll of 13 means his result is...13. As the DR is 12 for this specific test (as it is for most), that's a pass anyway.

Back to the action:

With Lord Margar having travelled up to the end of the tunnel, taking his torch with him, and Prügl having doused his own, it becomes apparent that narrow shards of orange light are shining down through the tiny holes in the ceiling. The combination of the skittering, tittering, the movement of shadows across the holes, the cessation of the urination and the sudden change in pitch, then silence, that follows Giant Dances the Sea's finger-insertion into one of the holes...suggests a sudden sense of immediate danger in the mind of GDTS, that his probing finger is in imminent peril.

How do you wish to proceed with this knowledge, GDTS?

Grin hurries shamefaced after his departing colleagues. He had a psalter once, but seems to have misplaced it, so does his best to murmur half-remembered prayers. He vaguely recalls that sort of thing is expected of him.

The heady aroma of piss suggests that others who also enjoy desecrating the holy may have beaten him to it, but no matter.

Alarmed by the imminent danger, Giant instinctively fires off a spell through the hole via the tip of his finger. The randomly chosen and currently unknown to Giant spell.

Prügl creaks his strongest leg forward and crackles out a bow, each vertebrae popping as he does so, and reminds the assembled of the silver lining that they have 3 days reprieve from hearing his squeaky lute...

Malaiz feels different, gone is fastidious need to keep checking his belongings and counting the pointy stones in his pockets. Gone also is his years long knowledge of magic...but who cares! He stands up straighter and almost gleefully draws his short sword.

Not gone...just not as good at it as before!

Well, he would if he hadn't sold it and bought an axe...

19!
An unquestionably successful spell-cast, straight from your alien mind, without use of a scroll!

Roll me a d6 and a d4, to measure the effects of your spell.
