Re: MÖRK BORG: Chapter I: Nurse the Rot
Lute it is then, i drop the torch at the grate and proceed into musical battle!

Crossing the grate with the spider's legs jutting out of it requires an Agility test!
Roll d20 -1

Re: MÖRK BORG: Chapter I: Nurse the Rot
That is sufficient!
Prügl rushes across the grate (the spider's legs twitch as he does so) and enters the rotunda, swinging his axe-shaped Lute towards the arthropod!
Test Strength to hit! (d20 + 3) [you are a brute]

Now roll a d8 for your damage, and subtract d4 for the centipede's exoskeleton.

Re: MÖRK BORG: Chapter I: Nurse the Rot
With a painfully harsh note, the lute smashes into the hide of the centipede, cracking it (the chitin, not the lute) and breaking into the soft flesh beneath!
With a hissing noise, the creature turns its attention away from Lord Margar to Prügl.
Now we just await Alpha the dog (if Fechr wishes to use him) and Grin (and/or his monkey).
Malaiz' cat, Scrotvm, does not have the claw-power to hurt this creature.

I'd love to, but I deliberately didn't approach myself because of the spider grate. With Alpha being a small, angry dog and therefore capable of point five past lightspeed, can he get to the monster the long way quickly enough to help out?Stormbringer wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2025 1:03 pmFechr's horseshoe flies down the eastern corridor, arcs around the rotunda, completely missing its target, then flies back down the eastern corridor into his hand.
Does Fechr wish to send Alpha in to confront the monster? He'd have to pass through the dreaded spider's legs jutting out of the floor-grate!

Go on, then!
Roll a Strength test (d20, no modifiers) to see if Alpha can do aught to the insect!

Grin suggests that Sploooooooom have a hunt around for anything interesting, anywhere but near the spider-legs or centipede. That settled, he charges magnificently into the fray, determined to promote himself above the rank of "perpetually the last fucker to do anything due to infrequent thread visits" if at all possible.
Let's see if being bashed with the Shepherd's Crook covered in anti-prayers helps deal with this rather terrifying looking bug. What we really need here is a can of Raid *Grin looks suspiciously at Fechr* ¬_¬

Since Grin has dashed along the eastern corridor into battle, he needs to test Agility to make it through the spider-legs.

Meanwhile:
Having been given this command, the monkey immediately pickpockets Malaiz, raiding his bag and taking one of his 26 remaining sharp stones therein.
This he hurls through the air down the corridor toward the centipede, accompanied by a simian screech.
He rolls a natural 20 (no kidding, this happened).
The sharp rock smashes into the head of the centipede, causing serious damage!
Who will get to the oversized bug first to deliver the killing blow: Grin or Alpha?
