There are many femurs in the world, but Giant-Dances-the-Sea's does most definitely does not glow like the holy femur of St. Martinus the Pure. His is just a regular, non-glowing femur. The relic in the painting is apparently owned by Princess Lavina.

The door opens. The room is filled with a billowing cloud of smoke. Getting in there without inhaling it will be hard.
If you wish to try, test Toughness! (d20 + 1 in Fechr's case)

Can I make out any reason to actually go inside?

The room behind the door is lit by a single torch, set in a sconce on the wall, near the door.
As the smoke billows out of the room, into the larger curving room in which you're standing, you can just make out, at the back of the smoky room, a mechanical lever jutting out of the floor.

Does the lever look slight enough that a hit with a horseshoe would change its position?

What a marvellous idea.
Test Presence to hit it with the horse-shoe (d20+2).

Re: MÖRK BORG: Chapter I: Nurse the Rot
Fechr hurls Death's horse-shoe into the small chamber; it strikes the lever which clicks into the opposite position, then the horse-shoe comes flying back into his hand.
Alpha lets out a bark of approval.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the structure, right next to Prügl and Lord Margar, the canal full of filthy water that separates the 'infirmary' area from the room with the ghostly prisoners begins draining with a horrid glug-glug-glug. A moment later, all the water is gone with a final disgusting gurgle.
When the canal is completely drained, the ghostly prisoners, moaning and wailing, suddenly vanish into thin air, and there is silence.
Prügl and Lord Margar have no idea why the canal suddenly drained, and Fechr has no idea what activating the lever has done.

Is there anything in the drained canal?

Peering over the edge of the canal, and holding up his torch, Lord Margar sees something glinting in the firelight. Something very small.

With a gleeful squeal, Giant shoves past his erstwhile master and makes a grab for the shiny.

Given the potential dangers and presumably grim residue, Margar is more than happy for Giant to dive down there. ![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

Giant Dances the Sea lands in the slimy residue at the bottom of the canal. Being hatched from an egg in a Wästland swamp, he feels at home in such a situation.

In our travels in the crypt so far, have we seen any locks that it might fit?
