...Malaiz fires out two bolts of lightning which blast the skeletal horror into splinters of bone in a cloud of smoke.

The scroll of Nine Violet Signs Unknot the Storm then crumbles into ash in his hand.

Now both skeletons are no more, but all that remains of the light are the smouldering remains of the armed skeleton that GDTS soaked with burning oil. Soon you'll be in pitch blackness again.

Malaiz rips a scrap of cloth from the extremely dead jailer and hastily wraps it around the arm bone of one of the shattered skeletons. He holds it against the last bit of flame. Luckily the jailer was exceptionally greasy and the torch catches.

With an improvised torch in hand, the jail-warden dead, and the blood-drenched skeletons (that Giant Dances the Sea summoned from his mind) destroyed, the party is once again at liberty to explore their environment.

Perhaps in an effort to keep a lower profile in the hope his companions won't put two and two together and deduce the source of the skeletal foes, Giant will move ahead to the corner and peer into the corridor to the west...

Holding the bone-torch above, you crouch over the corpse of Wemut and rifle through his pockets.

From the light of Malaiz' improvised torch, you're able to find the keys on Wemut's belt. A whole ring of them. Thankfully, your own cell door is unlocked, but there may be others ahead...

You walk through the open cell door and peer westward into the darkness. Without a light, you can't see much.
