You can use an Omen if you wish. It's close enough to the target that it doesn't require a re-roll to succeed.

If so and we're intent on getting rid of it, I command it to go sit in an empty cell so he can lock it in again. If we want it totally gone, I'll command it to headbutt the wall until it's dead again.

That's quite a powerful spell to use on this thing. You don't have to heed it, but my friendly advice is to save this powerful one-use spell for more serious situations...
