Opacity could possible come down a bit on the joystick to make it blend less with the writing after looking at it here.

Maybe a change of 'wood' colour and a drop shadow/outline on the text would make it pop a bit more though.

Yeah that looks better than the weathering I think. I've added the joystick back in and made it even more opaque.

Yeah, wasn't a fan of the background joystick when it was small, but made transparent and bigger suits the logo a lot better. Maybe pop 'The Gamers Arms' a bit more?
