In a few minutes, the old man has suffocated beneath Rufus' rear end.

Another corpse left in the wake of the Bean Bunch.

Leaving the old man's body in the dust, soon to become food for maggots and vultures (just as he would have wanted, I suppose) the Bean Bunch continue down the Scorned Path until the stars twinkle in the twilight vault above, and it's time once more to set up camp. Everyone's feeling a lot better than they were the night of the terrible rainstorm and everyone's held down their water.

Time to set up a fire and eat. Between you, you've still got eleven pieces of croc-meat and a few bunches of berries (enough food to the last the gang three days).

With Pornelius' permission, Doc will offer to use a ration of erratic berries to try to craft something useful, or at the very least mysterious...

Assuming he's fine with it, Doc will mix the berries with a dram of sippin' whisky.

From the mixture of the poisoned berries and a shot of whiskey, Doc makes...a weak poison that does d2 damage!

Yes, sometimes even Doc's successful mixtures are still hazardous.

DAY 5

Once again, the Bean Bunch awakens to a new dawn and packs up their things, ready for the next stage in their long journey down the Scorned Path. First things first...everyone roll on their WITS test to find clean water.

Doc's inability to find clean water is made up for by his ability to survive drinking the bad stuff...

Roll me 2d20 on your Grit test, Doc!
