I'll fill my canteen from the now dog contaminated bucket water.

That's the spirit!

Right, presumably Cadaver Kid scrambles out of the well and rejoins the group.

Doc is now a dog again, with a little doggy headache, and there's a pile of Doc's things lying in the snow...which nobody has the room to carry. ¬_¬

You now have two dogs and a pig in tow.

There does not appear to be another way out of this little clearing; there's a wall of thick snow-covered pines all about, and nothing else except for the well where you rescued the dog, so the only way out is back through the path between the trees into the centre of the larger clearing beyond.

Can you all make a GRIT test for me along the way?

The target number to pass is still 8.

My state more base than are the basest valleys;
I wish no evenings more to see, each evening;
Shamed, I hate myself in sight of mountains,
And stop mine ears, lest I grow mad with music.

Through the medium of mime, Doc-dog will argue eloquently that the group should use the surrounding forest to fashion a makeshift sled, which he and the rest of the animals can then pull. And put his belongings on ¬_¬

I don't think anybody has an axe...

Even Cumflutter left his Tomahawk behind a while ago.

Well, they've got three hours to figure it out as Doc isn't leaving without his assorted gubbins :lol:

Maybe they could search for a sled/axe somewhere while you stay and guard your things... ¬_¬

GRIT: 16 + 2 = 18

“What’s that, Doc? A sled?” I presumably interpret. :lol:

I’ll have a look around for anything resembling tools. Failing that, I guess I could try blasting wood into shape with my Slackarms.

I know this is a "fantasy western", and I know I had a steam-tank three to four decades too early in terms of general technological development...but there ain't no way I am letting you build a sled using handguns as the tools. [-(

14 + 2 on GRIT
Nobody has a knife or anything similar? We could gather up Doc's stuff and wrap them in his coat and tie that to a stick like a hobo bundle...

Doc has a knife.

But I was also thinking we could lay out the balloon remnants and Me, Jinx and Rufus could drag it along the snow sled-fashion...

I believe the balloon remnants are in the saddle-bags...an the horses ain't here.

The hobo bindle sounds like a great plan.

Incidentally, does Doc get any sensory benefits while in dog form? Just wondering if he could sniff out threats, optimal directions to go, that kind of thing (presumably subject to some kind of skill check?)

Yeah, not a bad idea. I would probably let you roll at advantage (2d20) to sensory checks!
