16 for agility.

Sen unleashes a stream of profanities, then loads a proper grenade into his launcher.

"Hell with this. Lunchtime, fellas - OPEN UP!"

I fire a grenade at the crates where they're hiding.

After not checking the thread for an hour or so, coming back to it feels like the Community meme of Donald Glover coming back in with an armful of pizzas

So, to sum-up, our surprise attack has turned to shit and Volley has embarked on a quasi-related side quest to get himself gunned down on the roof?

Volley throws himself to one side as the auto-turret's cannons let rip, dodging the hail of bullets.

Meanwhile, down on the ground level, Zola and Sen dart back behind the wall of the side-door and easily avoid the incoming buckshot that pummels into the brickwork.

Sen leans in and fires a grenade from his assault rifle's underslung launcher.

+ + +

Sen: test Presence to hit!

Zola: because you rolled a nat. 20 you can make two attacks against these guys. What weapon will you be using?

I'll go for the revolver for now. I don't fancy getting in close whilst there are grenade launcher rounds popping off.

That's a hit!

Next, roll a d3 to see how many targets are affected.

Great! Roll me 3d6, but each d6 roll should have -d2 subtracted from it.

So, 3x d6-d2

Now, Zola's turn to fire his ancient revolver.

Zola: roll Presence (d20+1) twice.

Volley: do you plan to throw a second EMP at the turret? If so, now's your chance! It's a d20 Presence test.

Doze: Are you sending in Boris? If so, it's a Knowledge test (d20+3)

A d2? What is causing that modifier? Something to do with cover?

7 on the d8 and a 2 on the d2 so 5 total.
