Another Neil Gaiman classic receiving the Amazon Prime treatment. The book, co-written with Terry Pratchett which adds a beautiful absurdity to proceedings, is one of my absolute favourites, and I think the adaptation has a lot of promise given David Tennant and Martin Sheen in the lead roles.
I must say that I think I would have preferred the two actors swapped roles; while I think they'll both be great, I can't help but see a bit too much of The Doctor in Tennant's performance, and I enjoy Sheen playing the confident, self-motivated type. Hopefully things will settle in my head after a few episodes, as I do admittedly have fairly deep-seated impressions of how the characters would look and sound.
