For a country that reveres its military and veterans, it's incredible to see that this kind of thing can happen. Firing the best of the best of the military without there having been even an indication of any wrongdoing on their part. How much is too much America?

All the administration have to do is declare someone as "liberal", or probably just "woke" now (one syllable is probably far more manageable for some of these people), and it doesn't matter what other factors are at play. They see "the other side" as the enemy, and Trump in power is a chance to stick it to them after four years of the "disastrous" Biden administration. The fervour is so intense over there that I'm not convinced that Trump saying "I am the reincarnation of Jesus Christ" (more likely "God was a loser") would do him any harm.

Removing the people who would oppose/prevent a complete takeover of the government by force is probably a good idea when staging a coup. I wonder if all of the Secret Service are now completely under Trump's control, otherwise you'd like to think one of them would take action before it's too late (if it already isn't).
