Lovely. I would like one of the targets to be that varmint who shot at me! A 2 and a 4!
Let's have you shoot just at him with both shots, which will kill him outright.

BLAM! The Loudmouth on the east side of the well goes down under a hail of buckshot.
My fire is more than can be made with forests,
My state more base than are the basest valleys;
I wish no evenings more to see, each evening;
Shamed, I hate myself in sight of mountains,
And stop mine ears, lest I grow mad with music.

I'll stay put and keep firing at the one I'm currently aiming at.
Roll me a d6 (rules above apply)!
It's a 1. #-o

It's a 1.
Your shot delivers a mere flesh-wound to your target. And you find your revolver is out of ammo.

Your shot does more damage; the target is visibly shaken but still alive and kickin'.

Both of these Loudmouths curse very loudly.

Now we'll see what Cumflutter does! Assuming you're going to shoot, Cumflutter, it's a d8 roll for you, and you might also want to choose some cover to get behind...

I'd like to dive over the fence to get a bit of cover then take a pop at one of the loathsome scum that shot my hat!

I roll a 7 on the D8.

You do this and — BLAM — you shoot him dead with a headshot!

One can only imagine that a lead slug meeting a Loudmouth skull had a spectacular effect and the resulting brain shower would be rather demoralising to the gang.

You'd think so (and I rolled for it), but these two hold their ground and only holler all the louder!

The one on the left moves into cover behind the well and fires another shot at Cadaver Kid!

Cadaver Kid, roll Luck (d20+3) to see if you can avoid being hit.

The one on the right charges screaming at Doc with his knife raised!

Doc, test GRIT (d20+1) to avoid being stabbed!

18 + 3 = 21

When it's my turn, rather than wasting time reloading, I'd like to try and charge the guy behind the well and jab him in the eyes with the fountain pen.

16 (15+1) on my Grit roll.

On my next turn I'd like to shriek at Jinx, as I narrowly miss being gutted, "Darn it, boy, come git this sonofabitch!"

Hopefully that means the dog will attack my attacker lol

Cadaver Kid ducks down as another revolver bullet slams into the fence near his head.

Meanwhile, Doc Scotum sees the incoming knife and grabs hold off the Loudmouth's wrist in the nick of time. He yells in your face!

Okay, time for the gang to make their moves.

Cadaver Kid holsters his empty revolver, pulls the fountain pen from his pocket, leaps over the fence and rushes toward the Loudmouth takin' cover behind the well. A risky move!

First, test SLICK to see if you can pull all that off without being shot at again!

That's d20+1

That's fine; you can also make an attack yourself! You're currently in toe-to-toe-hand-to-hand combat with a Loudmouth scumbag! You can try to punch him, kick him, headbutt him, hit him with your gun, shoot him with your gun, or whatever else you can think of.

Meanwhile, roll a d20 for Jinx to see if he can land a bite!

Uh-oh. 5 + 1 = 6.

Assuming that means I get shot at, my luck roll is 15 + 3 = 18.

All right, you weren't fast enough to avoid being shot at again, but his aim was wildly off and you got to him without being hit!

Now test GRIT (d20-1) to see if you can jab him with the fountain pen!

9 - 1 = 8 :?

I growl at him, "My penmanship was never worth a damn, but I'm gunna sign your own death certificate in that purdy face o'yours."

"Lessn' you wanna surrender, of course."
